Inflation urgh!!
Is it just me or what? Everything seems to be so expensive these days! Had dinner over at Devi's just now and the roti canai now cost RM1.10! Darn..i always thought it was like RM0.80.. at most RM1.00. Sigh sigh sigh. And i ordered Barley.. well, it was stated as being RM1.30 on the sign but when i saw the bill it was RM1.60! Just because mine had ice in it. I mean, RM0.30 for plain frozen water?! I mean.. not like i'm so stingy with these few cents but it does count a lot in the long run you know :P So obvious that everything seems to be on the rise except for salaries since the fuel hike :( Everyone's taking advantage to raise their prices. But i understand we can't blame them cos petrol increase does cos a multiplier effect. Oh well.. we just have to deal with it and make adjustments to our lives. Inflation we hate! Well, mayb i should start bringing my own food to uni to save money! LOL. haha maybe just maybe! ;)

I was supposed to get monday off too.. but that particular class was full :( so yeah.. well, i'm not complaining! ;) Hmm think most unis are like that too though.. oh well. hehe.
Oh, did i mention that i burnt my tongue really badly? :( :(
Its like the worst tongue burnt ever!!! All happened on Father's Day when we went for dinner. Was drinking this white carrot soup. The soup was warm. So i started eating the carrot.. and it freakin burnt my tongue!!! BADLY!!! Stupid white carrot traps all the heat in its body! so there.. poor tongue! :( it happened on sunday. And today's thursday. 4 freaking days!!! It normally takes a few hours or at most a day.. its really bad this time. Like 100% degree burn! Sigh. Hope it heals.. FAST!!

Josh's farewell
Just got back from a farewell gathering for our very dear Joshua Yong. Had korean buffet over at Seoul Garden, One U. Pretty nice place and good food too. I love the beef there!! Ahh!! Delicious!! :D Its like steamboat and grill together.. and buffet style complete with dessert as well. So just take whatever u wanna eat and cook its urself. Quite interesting. Hehe. But don't bother dressing up though cos when u come out of the restaurant, you'll smell like food! Haha. Nice place to chat and hang out as its not too crowded. :)
Mr.Josh would be leaving us to head for Vancouver, Canada for further studies. Sigh. All my friends seem to be leaving :( Aussie, UK, US, NZ.. u name it! Well, proves true that i need to make new friends!! How i ponder sometimes and miss high school days where we're still young and naive! I guess humans grow up and move on.
Just some pics we snapped :
Mr.Josh with his signature smile
Haha.. he was standing on a one inch taller ground :P
All of us!
The MIA woman.. Miss Aurora Low!
Well, thats it!
Ahh my blog looks so much nicer now with some colour! I always like blogs with colour! hehe. till then! :)

Petrol hike!
If you didn't already know, the petrol price has gone up from RM1.92 to RM2.70 a litre effective today. Well, in my opinion i think it is a good thing.. but also a very bad thing.
The good thing :
1. People won't be so dependent on the government for subsidies.. thus they will learn how to conserve energy, think twice before they decide to drive a near destination.
2. They will be forced to adjust to the changes which is a very good change so they won't be so spoon-fed! Malaysians are so spoon fed! Everything needs to be provided in front of them before they take action. Look at the civil sector and the malaysian education for a good example.
3. The government will be able to spend that extra money for better uses eg.improving the public transportation systems, healthcare (hopefully they will!)
4. When protectionism is taken away, they will learn to be more independent! ( economics weih.. haha!)
The bad thing is :
1. Inflation will be at the all time high, prices will go escalating even more due to the EXCUSE ppl give! "Petrol price increase lah.. surely cost increase. We have no choice but to pass it onto the consumers". A bowl of noodles now cost RM4 AVERAGE or higher! Nowadays, its hard to get a meal for RM5. A mere income of RM2000 will not even be sufficient. Imagine 5 years down the road. Don't want to imagine what might happen. :S
2. The already bad state of corruption might be worst with the "extra" money. Some ppl might want to pocket it for themselves.
3. The question of whether the subsidies are given to the right people will be lingering. It might reach the wrong hands which makes matters worst.
Nowadays its very hard to save because of all these escalating costs. When i go out, RM10 now is hardly enough to get me anything compared to few years back. Just look how much inflation has caused our purchasing power to fall! In a few years time, RM10 will be like RM1. And the government says our inflation remains at 4%. Yeah right. Twice more likely!
Petrol prices increasing is indeed inevitable. It has to happen sooner or later.. its just the matter of when and how. Perhaps, the government should have given people some time to adjust before breaking the news so suddenly. Perhaps people would have taken it in stride. We should still be thankful though, we're still the second cheapest country for petrol after brunei. In UK, its like triple the price! Thank God for everything you have!! At least you still have petrol!!! :)
Well, i guess that means less going out, less shopping, less spending which means more money to save!! ;) I hope. Haha. Its going to be tough!
